I’m in love with double footlock moves on the aerial silks! Once you have the knack of footlocking your second foot level with your first (some days this is definitely harder than others!), you can get some really nice moves. When I first started silks I found it so unnerving having both feet tied. Now I’ve been doing it a few years, these are some of my most used moves. All of the double footlock moves are pretty enough for a decent Instagram shot and flow well for combinations. There are so many options on ways to put them together!
Double Footlock
A double footlock is where you have one foot footlocked in each silk. These can be either level or uneven. They can be done in a standard footlock or an egg beater footlock. For this blog post I have done level footlocks using a standard footlock. If you want me to do a blog on uneven footlock moves let me know! I have included my favourite 12 moves. Some are fairly beginner and others are more advanced. Once you have mastered these from the floor, you could try Climbing into them.
